Merchant Deposit Timing - How long it takes your credit card sales to get to your bank.
Merchant Deposit Timing

How long does it take your current processor to deposit your money in the bank?

Many Merchant Processors take as long as 7 days to get your money to your bank account.

ProcessForLess averages 48 hours for your funds to reach your bank account, and 24 hour timing is available to qualified merchants.

Interchange Increases

What are Surcharges?

A Surcharge, UpCharge, or Interchange Increase is an additional cost you pay based on:

A: Type of Card

B: Date of Settlement

C: Address Verification

There are over 250 different types of Visa and Mastercard branded cards, each with a different cost.

With a Tiered account, the card types are averaged into a rate level, based on thier type.

If a card does not meet the Checking or Qualified Tier, and gives the consumer Reward Points or Miles, it will fall into the Mid Qualified Tier, and if a Foreign or Corporate Card, the increase is to the Non-Qualified Tier.

The Date of Settlement also has bearing on the level your purchases fall in. Batches settled within 48 hours will always qualify at the lowest possible levels for thier card types.

Address Verification, as long as attempted, will not cause card types to increase in cost.

Many Processors do not disclose these Surchages, and leave them off the Statement, and many feel they have good rates elsewhere until you consider the upcharges to the account.

ProcessForLess will educate you on the best ways to reduce surcharges and accurately disclose and report what you are being charged for each transaction.
